Ran Show

Standing Ovation!

NOTE:  Once again comments of people in the audience included a few saying this has been one of the best shows they have seen at the Palace in the last 5-8 years depending on which person was speaking.  Some of our Palace family who attended really enjoyed the performance too (in case you could not tell from all of the noise they were making after your numbers)!!

CAST:

A decent Friday show with a few lyric mashups thrown in for good measure.  Please make sure and review those songs.  I expect they will be fine for the rest of the weekend, but make sure that you review often until our closing show on the 14th.

Thank you on taking care of your trash duties!!  I do appreciate you all being diligent in getting that taken care of so others do not have to do it.

Please remember when we are done with mic check and warmups that everyone take a look around and remove any items you brought on stage with you.  Thank you!

CREW:

Thank you Jill and Inga!!

As a note to our feather sweepers, please double check the stage at Intermission to ensure the stage is red feather free.  They are very slippery for the actors (and I can attest because one was stuck to the bottom of my show after a show one time) so it is important to clear them.  Thank you!

COSTUMES:

PROPS:

SOUND:

  • Use monitors on stage and seemed to work much better.  There was only one small feedback issue during the show in a solo/duet number but otherwise will be fine.  Only complaint from audience was everything was much too loud and it was hard to understand what the cast was saying (said from balcony in Act One) but it sounded fine and clear in the booth.

LIGHTING/FX:

  • Used new light on floor pole light and it is much brighter than the other one, but it worked each time was fired during the show which is much more important.

  • There was a light shining through the muslin that is Austin's piano light that has not been there before.  Not sure if just needs a blue gel or if it was adjusted somehow.

  • Had to patch Channel 38 into new dimmer (14) during preshow because it would not work on Dimmer 16.  Thanks Ron for helping with that!
