Worked Neighborhood (reprise); I'm a Woman; Kansas City; You're The Boss; Loving You and reviewed other numbers as needed.

Various release times for cast as items were completed in both areas.



CAST:


Looking really good!  Things are coming together as you all are now able to layer in vocals with choreography.  Makes a huge difference to blend those two things together  - keep up all the hard work!!


Watch your lyrics.  Remember in Poison Ivy that diseases CAUSE the visual ailment.  For example, Lumps do not make you Mumpy...it is the other way around.  :-)


FYI - We are three days away from doing a run through the show. We are one week away from being "Off Book" and moving into the theater (Yea!!!).


WATCH & PRACTICE WITH THE CHOREO VIDEOS / LEARN YOUR LYRICS / REVIEW YOUR VOCALS...We are not able to go back and reteach so we are counting on each of you to do your homework.

COSTUMES:


  • Kneepads for Pablo (aka Michael) please

  • CRAIG - Can we get two rehearsal men's suit jackets with front pocket (Buddy and Chris) and a pocket square by June 30th?

  • "BIG Suit for Pablo needs to have the Gold Buttons (Tweed one) - not sure if this belongs in Props or Costumes

  • For crew, would like them to be in "street clothes" from the 1960s/1970s.  We have three of them that would need to be outfitted so can blend in a bit better to our "neighborhood".


PROPS:


Items we need (those that are a priority are highlighted) -

  • Big Suit "shoulder thing" to be used in Shoppin For Clothes (need 3 for show)

    • Measurements from top of head to shoulder:  

    • Pablo = 12 ⅛"

    • Kirk = 11 ½"

    • Boyce = 13 ¼"

    • "BIG Suit for Pablo needs to have the Gold Buttons (Tweed one) - not sure if this belongs in Props or Costumes


  • 8 - Cabaret chairs (painted red) - will paint red after Blonde closes

  • 1 - Black cafe chair (MUST BE STRONG ENOUGH TO STAND ON) - Still need

  • 4 - Song & Dance style hats ("Skimmer hats") - IN BOX ON TOP OF SHOW BOA BOX

  • 4 - Round cafe tables (they will not be covered tentative - need to be same red as chairs)

Modifications to set needed:


  • Music stand mock up has notch area marked.  Will need to lower music stand by one foot and enclose three sides with facing.  Also need the piece added to bottom of slanted desk to hold music books.  Should be at least 2 inches deep and the same length as slanted desk.  THANK YOU!

  • Piano shell shelf for keyboard needs to be lowered approximately 7 inches so sits below the angled side of piano shell.

  • Thank you for the finials on the stairs!!  We appreciate it!

  • For handles, please add a handle to each bottom stair behind the railing - thank you!



Furniture needed:

PAINT:


  • RON - need to purchase paint:  Black gloss, black matte, candy apple red (spray paint for chairs?) for sure.  Will need at least 1-2 other colors for steps and floor/bandstand but will let you know what Becca needs.

  • We have decided to strike the "doors" of the stoops due to blocking and projection issues, so please know you do not need to paint the different doorways, just the stairs and railings.

  • Lannie would like to make sure the piano shell is painted in a glossy black please.

  • One addition:  create 4 "Smokey Joe's Cafe" signs to be added to the music stands the band will be using on the platform. 

  • Note:  We are going to use a projection of Time Square in place of the neon signs.
